Raza Technologies: Project Alpha

Project Alpha is Raza Technologies’ debut on the firearms market in the year 2082. It is a man portable battery-powered directed energy weapon, using burst of high energy laser beams to destroy targets hit by it. The normal capacity battery pack will provide enough energy for about 60 short bursts, or two 10 second beams. The compact battery is good for half of the normal one.

The trigger is of the dual stage variety; pull it a bit and it will fire a short burst. Upon pulling all the way it will fire an (up to) 10 second beam. After expending several battery packs in a short time, the rifle can overheat. Pulling the handle located in the carrying handle once will open up the side vents for 15 seconds. Firing the weapon is disabled during this time.

Furthermore, Alpha includes a heads-up display on the back, as well as a battery percentage indicator on both sides. The top rail has an integrated laser aiming module.

This design was inspired by a work in progress 3D gun design made by my fiancée back in 2017. I finished the design, and made this sci-fi variation of it for her. Thank you so much for always inspiring me!
