LeSabre Pistol

For a long time I’ve been wanting to do something retro futuristic, but I never felt like I had the necessary skills to do so. Looking at this one, I still don’t think it’s anywhere close to what I had in mind but it’s a lot closer than what I made the couple of attempts before. Bit by bit I learn and apply new things, and with that growing skill set perhaps one day I can paint what I see in my mind.

So I guess that’s what this post represents: the appreciation of the gradual growth of one’s skills. I used to be afraid to get out of my comfort zone but slowly I learned that drawing some weirder things is a lot of fun sometimes.
